Take Care of Yourself
Hi friends and hello April!
Can you believe it’s April already?!?!?! I seriously can’t but what a relief to be entering warmer months. I just love how spring awakens and warms the earth! It is such a beautiful time we are blessed to enjoy!
But as much as it is beautiful, it can also be busy. Spring holidays and children’s activities can pack our schedules and calendars so full that we don’t take time to care for ourselves. In these busy months, it is easy to not get enough sleep, give up on exercise, over dose on caffeine and eat unhealthy foods all which can lead to feeling more sluggish and tired. And if you’re like me, sluggish and tired can lead to mega meltdowns and late night food binges which can lead down the dark path of self loathing. And ain’t nobody got time for that! So let’s let some things go but don’t let yourself be one of them.
Listen, a key to success during a busy season is to be rooted in good planning and preparation. Throw a case of water in the trunk along with some healthy snacks. Make or prep food on the weekends to carry you and your family through the week. Hide the remote or put the phone in another room. Schedule workouts during practices. Set yourself up for success and you will be successful!
It’s not easy but it’s worth it and you are worth it!
