Thy Will Be Done
Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10
If we pray for the will of God to be done on earth as it is in heaven then we should never take things that happen to us personally. If we believe in the will of God, we should never believe it was something we did or did not do, something we deserved or received as punishment. The will of God is not dependent on our response to our circumstances and the world around us. Nothing you did or could have done changes or influences the course of His will. God’s will would have been done some way and somehow regardless of your decisions or involvement. Feeling responsible, blaming or worrying is wasted time. It had nothing to do with you. It had everything to do with God.
So I wonder, how many of God’s children are walking around carrying the weight of their decisions they were never meant to carry? And how many of God’s children feel responsible, are blaming or worrying about things that have happened that were never in their control from the start?
When we believe in the will of God, we free ourselves from carrying unnecessary weight that weighs down our spirits and prevents us from enjoying the fullness of life that was gifted to us! Today is a good day to lose the weight and start living!
