Day 17: Pure Love
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. Matthew 22: 37-38
As you wake up to the sight of a fresh blanket of white snow, appreciate the beauty and wonder of how little snowflakes falling from the sky can have such a great impact on our lives and change everything. Before you venture out to play in the white goodness, pause and enjoy the peace and calmness that it brings.
See like the snow, the love of God is beautiful like fresh fallen snow and it covers us only in joy and peace. It falls from a high place unseen to us and changes our lives. Unlike snow, God’s love is always pure and white, it can never be soiled by human hands and it never melts away. God wants us to love him first with all of our heart, our soul and our mind. God wants to cover you in a blanket of his white love forever. So as you are enjoying your snow day, consider God and the wonder of the snow he made for you and then consider how much more he loves you than snow.
