Day 13: Unlimited Gifts
If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Romans 8:31-32
Have you ever thought you were done shopping for someone and then think of other gifts you know they would like? This happens to me every year with my kids. It never fails, I’m done shopping and then I think of more gifts I know they’d love. It is so hard for me to stop shopping because I love seeing the excitement on their faces when they’re opening gifts! It’s so much fun! Why wouldn’t I want to make my children smile and be happy? But the truth is that I can’t give my children every gift they want because of my limited resources. There is always my budget and time working against me that prevents me from giving all the good gifts I want to give.
But unlike us, God doesn’t have any forces working against him that makes gift giving difficult. His resources are unlimited and he can give any gift to anyone he wants at any time. The best gift you can receive from God is his love, peace, and joy that far exceeds any material gift you could ever imagine. It is only through God’s gracious gift of his son Jesus that we are able to receive all these amazing things! God is for you and there is nothing that can stop him from giving you all his good gifts. God’s desire is to see you smile and be happy like a child on Christmas morning every single day of your life! Thank you God for Jesus and all your amazing gifts!
