What Is Love?

What is love?  Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails. 1 Corn 13: 4-8

What is love?  Love is sincere. Love is devoted.  Love is honoring one another above yourself.  Love is serving.  Love is joyful. Love is faithful.  Love is sharing.  Love is hospitality. Love is accepting people who don’t accept you.   Love is rejoicing with those rejoicing. Love is mourning with those who mourn.  Love is harmony. Love is associating with people in low positions.  Love is not being conceited.  Love is integrity. Love is not taking revenge.  Love is feeding and giving water to your enemies. Love is doing good.  Romans 12: 9-21

What is love? Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.  John 15:13

What is love? While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5: 8

What is love?  God giving his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16

What is love? God is love. 1 John 4:8

You do not know REAL LOVE until you know Jesus and understand the magnitude of the sacrifice he poured out on the cross.

What if everyone would learn the true meaning of love and put it into practice?  What if we fulfilled our greatest command from Jesus to love one another (John 15:17)?  I wonder if then the entire world would know Jesus and it would be done on earth as it is in heaven.  There is only one way to know and there is no better time than now!

Thank you Jesus for your selfless sacrifice on the cross.  Thank you for your perfect example of love.  Lord let everything I do be in remembrance of you and let all I do be done in love. In Jesus name, Amen!
